Post a Position on the Student Employment Virtual Job Board
To post positions, please use our online form.
We encourage you to consider posting your undergraduate student hourly positions as Federal Work-Study (FWS) jobs. FWS is a federally funded need based work program, allowing students to earn money for their college education. FWS funds pay 60% of the student's wages, while the department pays only 40%. Any position that you wish to fill with an undergraduate student may be classified by the hiring department as FWS. Once a FWS student employee has reached his/her maximum FWS earnings, employment may be continued at the discretion of the employing department or agency. The department will be responsible for 100% of the student's remaining wages.
You should ask the students if they have been awarded FWS before you hire them. You may confirm a FWS award by checking the award section of RJASEAR, or by calling the Student Employment Unit at 333-0600 to confirm.
Employer Login ID & Password
The first time you log into the Virtual Job Board, you will need to create your own unique Employer ID and password that you will use in the future to post, edit, and delete your job postings. You will also determine how long you wish to have your position posted.
Job Search Capability
The Virtual Job Board also offers students the ability to search by personal preferences using key words. Students can request to be contacted via e-mail if there is a position posted that meets their preferences.
